Vattenfall Selects CSC to Build a Next-Generation IT Workplace Environment

Network and communication services to be delivered in alliance with AT&T
STOCKHOLM, March 31, 2015 – CSC (NYSE: CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, has been selected by the Swedish utility company Vattenfall to build and deliver a next-generation IT workplace environment as part of Vattenfall’s core business strategy. Network and communication services, delivered seamlessly through CSC’s strategic global alliance with AT&T (NYSE: T), will include the innovative workplace offering CSC MyWorkStyle. The contract is for a five-year period with two one-year extension options and serves approximately 30,000 end users across Vattenfall’s business locations in seven countries.

CSC with AT&T were able to meet our needs and were selected following a highly competitive assessment among several suppliers,” said Claes Wallnér CIO and Head of IT at Vattenfall, one of Europe’s premier producers of energy electricity with its main products being electricity, heat and gas.

CSC is well known for outsourcing that involves personnel transfer. As part of this agreement, it is planned that Vattenfall will transfer a number of operational personnel to CSC and AT&T.

CSC MyWorkStyle offers an increased productivity for end users by providing a cost-effective, secure and flexible personal computer (PC) device management service. PC’s are managed through their lifecycle, enabling low-touch support through user self-service to keep costs low, while keeping the workforce as productive as possible. CSC MyWorkStyle provides full management of PC devices and user related services throughout their entire lifecycle.
