AT&T Helps Multinationals in Japan Move to the Cloud

14 SEPTEMBER 2016

TOKYO, Sept. 14, 2016 — AT&T* has extended its cloud connectivity solution options to Japan. AT&T NetBond® Essentials helps multinational companies enjoy the flexibility and value of public cloud services, with the security and performance of a private network connection.

Through AT&T NetBond Essentials, AT&T offers data center connection points in Tokyo and Osaka. These provide AT&T VPN customers with direct access to more than 550 cloud service providers. AT&T NetBond Essentials extends the enterprise-grade security of customers’ AT&T VPN into the cloud, shielding traffic from internet-based threats.

AT&T has built the NetBond Essentials network in Japan on the software-defined networking model. This involves replacing specialized hardware with software apps. In this way, AT&T helps customers save time, space and cost.

“Businesses need simple, highly secure and reliable cloud services. Our AT&T VPN customers in Japan can now confidently move workloads to the cloud and roll out apps across their network. It gives them flexibility and cost savings,” said Oka Manabu, president, AT&T Japan.

The NetBond Essentials service is customizable. Customers can choose co-location services, virtual firewalls, global IP voice, hybrid cloud, data center migration solutions and more.

Customers do not need to invest in equipment for AT&T NetBond Essentials. AT&T fully manages a pre-built, multi-tenant cloud connection solution, with around-the-clock support. This speeds deployment and reduces the workload of in-house IT staff. It also provides consistent cloud management and invoicing across multiple markets.

AT&T NetBond Essentials is available in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
