Goodrich Chooses AT&T for Next-Generation Network Technology

Charlotte, North Carolina, January 30, 2007

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today that Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR), a global aerospace and defense supplier, has selected AT&T to provide next-generation network services under a multiyear contract valued at more than $4 million.

"We turned to AT&T to assist us in continuing to build upon our communications foundation in support of our enterprisewide strategic objectives," said Steve Hagood, vice president and chief information officer of Goodrich. "Our complex international business model requires an extensive and highly efficient network. With more than 22,000 employees across the globe, we rely on high-level network communication and data services to ensure that our products and systems are at the right place at the right time to meet the just-in-time delivery requirements of our global airframe, airline and defense customers," added Hagood.

AT&T will employ Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology so that Goodrich can prioritize mission-critical information. The technology transports essential data over the fastest route through the network. Speed and flexibility made possible by the MPLS system's transport efficiency and any-to-any connectivity will spur new synergies between geographically diverse businesses and creative engineering groups within Goodrich, allowing its global network of engineers, manufacturing staff and program managers to work together on the same projects and applications from locations all over the world.

"AT&T's global network deployment, which includes MPLS technology, engineering services and advanced monitoring, allows us to increase communication speed and enhance collaborative interaction across our enterprise," said Hagood.
