AT&T Intelligent Content DistributionSM service is a network-based Content Delivery Network (CDN) service that replicates information across the Internet. Examples include: web page content, large files for download, live video, and video-on-demand.

This service enables you to efficiently distribute your content to your customers. In addition, you can significantly improve your website’s capacity, reliability and performance Your content is replicated across multiple sites and on multiple servers within a single node. These service nodes are connected through AT&T’s global IP network and are located in AT&T Global Internet Data Centers and Service Node Routing Centers.

Caching Capabilities
- Web Acceleration – Cacheable web pages and objects are accelerated through dedicated and optimized ICDS cache servers throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
- File Downloads – Downloadable objects such as media files and software files and patches are cached in locations closer to the requesting end-users reducing download times
- SSL Caching - AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution can deliver your SSL content in addition to your non-SSL content
Streaming Capabilities
- Live – ICDS can receive encoded web streams then multiply and distribute them throughout the Internet.
- On-Demand – AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution can stream prerecorded media files. These files can be located in an AT&T publishing complex or can be streamed from your servers. AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution takes care of duplicating and distributing the streams.
Optional Services
- In-Network Storage & Origination (File Download & On-Demand
Streaming)
- Downloadable files and on-demand streaming files may be uploaded to and stored in the in-network storage arrays.
- Your stored content will be distributed from our storage locations to our edge servers. This means you do not need to maintain your own storage and origination capabilities for this content.
- Intelligent Site Management (Caching)
- Slim Mirror – This allows you to keep your backup web server small and inexpensive, with the assurance that AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution will shield it from heavy traffic while your primary site is being repaired.
- Capacity On-Demand – AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution can also monitor your origin server traffic level and redirect overflow traffic to AT&T Intelligent Content Distribution servers when and if needed.
