AT&T Inc. is the largest communications holding company in the United States and worldwide by revenue. Its subsidiaries and affiliates, AT&T operating companies, are the providers of AT&T services in the United States and around the world. Among their offerings are the world's most advanced IP-based business communications services and the United States' leading wireless, high speed Internet access and voice services.

AT&T has a continuous presence in Asia Pacific for more than 30 years, with offices in 13 markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam. Effective 1 November 2007, India was made into separate region to accelerate investment and leverage first mover advantage. AT&T became the first foreign operator to receive national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) licenses in India.

A significant investment in Asia Pacific is a 25 percent stake in UNISITI - the first ever sino-foreign telecom services joint venture in China, with Shanghai Telecom and Shanghai Information Investment. In Japan, NTT Communications owns a 15 percent equity interest in AT&T Japan LLC. In India, AT&T has a joint venture with Mahindra Telecommunications Investment Private Limited which AT&T owns 74 percent equity.

In Asia Pacific, AT&T offers advanced communications and networking services, including voice, data connectivity and networking solutions to businesses, governments and consumers.

AT&T Business provides managed IP virtual private network, remote dial-up access with global roaming, managed security, enterprise hosting, frame relay, ATM and international private leased line connectivity, as well as network consulting, design and implementation and network outsourcing services, assisting companies to maximize their competitive advantage.

AT&T Wholesale is a leading carrier of minutes worldwide, transporting and terminating traffic for traditional and emerging carriers, mobile networks, cable companies and ISPs. AT&T combines the strengths of both traditional products and IP for the wholesale market, offering a comprehensive portfolio of wholesale voice, Data/IP and VoIP clearinghouse services.
