AT&T has been providing communications services to China for more than 25 years. It provides mainly traditional voice and data solutions to multinational business customers through relationships with local telecommunications service providers.  AT&T is also one of the major high-speed bandwidth providers for China’s ISPs.

AT&T coordinates its operations in China through a wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WOFE) in Beijing and branches in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. In 1999, AT&T became the first foreign telecom service operator to establish a Sino-foreign telecom services joint venture in China. The joint venture, called UNISITI, was established between AT&T, Shanghai Telecom and Shanghai Information Investments and received permission to operate in 2001.

AT&T China has strong technical expertise and branch offices in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
