Meal Exchange

Meal Exchange (MX) is a Canadian national youth-driven charity that engages, educates and mobilizes youth to work with their communities across Canada to alleviate hunger locally and achieve food security. AT&T Business Solutions has proudly supported MX since 2009 through the AT&T Foundation.

Far too many people continue to go hungry every day in Canada. Meal Exchange (MX) is a Canadian national youth-driven charity that engages, educates and mobilizes youth to work with their communities across Canada to alleviate hunger locally and achieve food security. Founded in 1993 by a 17-year-old university student, MX has raised more than $3 million by working with more than 87,000 youth across Canada.

MX's approach is to actively involve youth and students in the creation, planning and execution of all programs, provide opportunities for youth and students to show leadership and build awareness among students about hunger in their community. The organization also encourages innovation in its programs and promotes inclusiveness in all of its activities.

AT&T Business Solutions has proudly supported MX since 2009 through the AT&T Foundation. We have donated funds to enhance MX's education initiatives across student campuses in Canada and to help the organization raise awareness of existing hunger issues. After organizing a Hunger Awareness campaign in 2009 at our Thornhill office, we have continued to support and engage with the Meal Exchange program by participating on their Advisory Board.

The AT&T Foundation has awarded AT&T Business Solutions with further philanthropic awards (2010-2012) on behalf of this very worthy cause. In 2012, AT&T supported Trick or Eat®, an important nationwide campaign that encourages Canadian youth to raise money, go door-to-door to collect non-perishable food items and raise awareness of hunger in the community.
