Alex Parker spearheads the Government and Education client group for Global Public Sector, serving State and Local government and Education clientele throughout the United States. 

Parker’s organization oversees account management and customer engagement for State and Local government as well as K-12 and Higher Education.  His team is focused on providing a great customer experience through the delivery of cost-efficient and highly secure solutions that help the public sector transform operations and modernize IT infrastructure.

Previously, Alex led a global team of more than 2,000 AT&T Business Solutions professionals who empowered sales through executive deal negotiation, solution design, contracting, process and tooling, compensation strategy, and sales operations.  In a former role, as Vice President and General Manager Georgia and South Carolina markets for AT&T, Alex ran a diverse organization that served over 3.5 million wireless customers through company-owned retail stores, authorized dealers and national retail locations.  In another prior leadership post, Alex led the sale of AT&T Advanced TV, High Speed Internet, Voice and Access Line consumer products, overseeing capital investments, distribution and marketing strategies.

Earlier, Alex was based in London and served as Vice President of the AT&T Global Service Management organization where he was responsible for the overall customer service experience across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Canada, Caribbean and Latin America (CCLA), and Asia Pacific (AP).  In this capacity, he and his team provided global support to over 800 multi-national corporations headquartered outside of the U.S. and acted as the single point of accountability for service delivery, maintenance, and billing.  Before that, Alex was Vice President of Service Delivery for AT&T Worldwide Customer Service.  In this position, he led 2500+ employees based in 16 work centers in the U.S. and Slovakia to provision data services for telecom and wireless carriers.

Parker began his AT&T career through the company’s partnership with INROADS, Inc. by completing five summer internships where he gained valuable experience working in Enterprise and Retail Sales, Global Operations, Process Management, and Billing.

Alex holds a B.S. Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of International Business Degree from Saint Louis University.
