What can it achieve?

Changing from a traditional voice network to an Internet Protocol or ‘IP’ network, can create the opportunity to achieve more for less.

The benefits of combining voice, video and data on a single IP network can include enhanced collaboration with conferencing features, instant messaging (IM) and the ability to check and manage the availability of people (AT&T Presence).

Students can also take advantage of learning tools and experiences enriched by video and data with the option of virtual classrooms or even ‘on-demand’ lectures.

The operational cost advantages of IP can be gained through reduced network management, subsidized voice, data and video costs and improved productivity and efficiency using advanced communication and collaboration features and tools.
