On-The-Go Collaboration Made Easy for Global Businesses
AT&T Unified Communications Connects Today’s Mobile Worker With the Click of a Button
London – 5 March 2013 — Technology continues to bring the global business community closer together, enabling employees to collaborate effectively without having to be in the same office space – or even the same country. To help businesses adjust and adopt flexible working environments, AT&T* has made its cloud-based UC services portfolio available in the U.S. and 48 countries worldwide.
The services AT&T is extending to international markets include a set of communication tools that combine presence with instant messaging, chat, voice calling, and web, audio and video conferencing that allow companies to collaborate more fluidly across their organizations. Collaboration through these cloud-based unified communication services helps customers increase productivity, speed business processes and bring widely dispersed teams together for fast decision-making.
Recent research from INSEAD1, in collaboration with AT&T, showed that global investment in technologies such as unified communications, as well as mobility and cloud-based services, will continue to accelerate over the next two years.
Speaking at UC Expo in London this week, Nils Fonstad, Associate Director of INSEAD eLab said, “Our research demonstrates that emerging innovations, including improved business collaboration tools, promise to boost business growth and employee productivity. When firms have strong key business enablers, investing in a comprehensive unified communications platform is an excellent example of how standardizing processes as well as adding functionality can double the probability of becoming highly competitive.”
Chris Hill, Senior Vice President, Advanced Business Solutions, AT&T said, “It’s a mobile world. How we live, how we work, and how we communicate is changing rapidly and dramatically. AT&T UC Services are 21st Century tools that allow companies to simplify and transform how they communicate across their business.”
“Unified communications and collaboration tools provide many benefits - including boosting employee productivity, improving responsiveness to customers, and simplifying business interactions. Together, this transforms how individual employees and teams within the business, as well as customers and suppliers, interact with one another,” said Amy Lind, IDC Research Manager, Broadband, Enterprise Voice & IP Communications Services and Unified Communications. “A cloud-based unified communications solution enables businesses to use their existing communications investments and integrate new unified communications applications with the goal of transforming business processes.”
AT&T will be demoing its UC Services at UC Expo this week in London, booth number F613.
