Filip Šváb Named Executive Director of International External Affairs at AT&T
Prague, 16 July 2014 – AT&T* has appointed Filip Šváb (38) Executive Director, International External Affairs. In his new role he will represent the interests of AT&T with private and public sector leaders, in Germany, Central and Eastern Europe. Earlier this year Filip Šváb was also elected as member of the board of the Czech Association of Electronic Communications.
Prior to joining AT&T in 2009, he spent more than six years as a diplomatic representative of the Czech Republic, working in Brussels within the working group for Information Society, Telecommunications, Postal Services and GALILEO (the European satellite program). Previously, he held positions in the state administration, including as advisor to the Minister of Defense and the Parliament.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in 2001, Filip studied in Paris and received a diploma at ENA (Ecole Nationale d'Administration). In his free time he likes to sail, cook and spend time with his son.
