14th Annual AT&T Cyber Security Conference
The 14th Annual AT&T Cyber Security Conference will take place on June 6, 2012 in New York City, at the prestigious New York Hilton Hotel on Avenue of the Americas, in the heart of midtown Manhattan.
The AT&T Cyber Security Conference is an annual day-long conference offered by the AT&T Chief Security Office.
Combining the expertise of its security experts, the scale and reliability of its global IP network and the innovation of AT&T Labs, AT&T is giving businesses some of the most powerful weapons available today in their battle against cyber security attacks. The conference showcases AT&T's leadership in helping businesses, large and small, manage the increasingly complex and critically important security of their IT networks and assets.
The 2012 conference will have a significantly expanded agenda with 3 parallel tracks to accommodate interests of a large and varied audience:
- Technology Track: Talks and presentations on the latest security technology and trends in mobility and cloud
- Research and Hands-On Track: A morning session dedicated to security research talks and an afternoon session presenting hands-on and ethical hacking exploits
- Vendor Track: Giving security vendors advertising at the conference opportunities to present their latest products and results, and expanding their booth presence with a speaking opportunity
In addition to track presentations, there will be morning and afternoon keynotes in a plenary session. The Technology Showcase area will be open for viewing and demos throughout the conference day.
Please note that in 2012 there will be a minimal registration fee for in-person attendance, in order to offset facility expenses.
The 2012 conference will feature prominent industry and AT&T security experts presenting the latest innovations in cyber security, including:
- Keynote addresses providing a strategic view into the constantly morphing aspects of cyber security and its impact across all aspects of business
- A Short Talks session on work in progress
- Leading edge R&D security talks and expertise sharing reports
- Many technical demos
The audience is primarily network and security executives and technical staff members of AT&T's business customers, as well as AT&T researchers and engineers.
AT&T security experts have always presented a wide-range of leading-edge topics from e-commerce security (back in 1999), to quantum cryptography (in 2006), the rising threat posed by botnets (in 2007), cloud computing security (in 2009), and smart mobile computing (in 2010). Invited speakers from forward-looking industries bring a new perspective on the latest security issues. The conference showcases technical demonstrations of AT&T's expansive security portfolio.
With each successive year, interest and attendance at the AT&T Annual Cyber Security Conference have grown significantly. The 2011 event, held in the AT&T Auditorium in Middletown, NJ, drew more than 2,300 attendees (in-person and remote) from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe, as well as industry analysts from leading technology research firms and trade media.
