ResMAE Signs With AT&T For New High-Speed Network

Mortgage Lender to Roll Out Voice Over IP

BREA, Calif. – AT&T today announced that it has won a three-year data and voice networking contract from ResMAE Mortgage Corp., a wholesale specialty residential mortgage lender and servicer. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

AT&T will link the company’s nine domestic offices through an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN). ResMAE plans to use the new high-speed network to roll out Voice over IP (VoIP) technology, and also as a critical back-up network for data and Internet traffic, helping to ensure uninterrupted service for ResMAE and its customers.

By implementing VoIP throughout its enterprise, ResMAE will be able to take advantage of the technology’s operational efficiencies and reduce its overall telecommunications costs.

“AT&T’s network offers the low latency, high quality voice services that we need to run Voice over IP and can scale easily as we continue our rapid growth,” said Christopher Lappi, executive vice president for ResMAE Mortgage Corp. “Using the Internet for phone calls places us at the cutting edge of applying technology to enhance client support and customer service. Additionally, it will make us more efficient and flexible and will greatly improve our overall productivity and reduce operating costs across the business.”

AT&T has been ResMAE’s telecom provider of choice since the company’s inception in 2003. AT&T will continue to provide voice networking services as part of the new contract.
