AT&T Achieves Regional Advanced Technology And U.S. Federal Service Provider Partner Awards From Cisco Systems, Inc.

BEDMINSTER, N.J. – AT&T announced today it received two awards during The Cisco Partner Summit 2005 conducted last month in Vancouver, Canada.  The awards recognize AT&T as U.S. Managed Service Provider of the Year and U.S. Federal Service Provider Partner of the Year.

Cisco noted that AT&T earned the U.S. Managed Service Provider of the Year Award based on AT&T’s “outstanding performance in the development and sales of superior managed services based on Cisco technology.”  AT&T has developed 18 Cisco-based Managed Services in the areas of virtual private networks, security, metro optical and voice networks, and hosting services.

“AT&T’s Strategy to continue to develop key partnerships with technology leaders, such as Cisco, in the enterprise and federal markets, creates a winning combination for our business customers through the delivery of advanced, market-leading managed services," said Craig Fiaschetti, vice president AT&T Strategic Partnerships. “These awards from Cisco continue to reinforce and acknowledge the combined value our companies bring to market.”

“We are happy to present AT&T with Cisco's U.S. Managed Services Partner of the Year award,” said Nigel Williams, vice president of Service Provider Channels, Cisco Systems.  “AT&T has a wide ranging set of Cisco-based managed services that cover the security, VPN, hosting, optical and voice networking needs of our mutual customers.  These services deliver significant value to the customer, which is driving the adoption rate of these technologies.  We are committed to customer and partner success and look forward to working with AT&T to continue to develop and deliver these Cisco-based solutions into the marketplace.”

The award for U.S. Federal Service Provider Partner of the Year was given to AT&T for outstanding performance in development and sales in the Federal Market Segment.  AT&T demonstrated year-over-year growth employing Cisco advanced technologies in this market.

“The Federal segment offers a great deal of opportunity for Cisco and our channel partners,” said Chuck Robbins, vice president of US Channels, Cisco Systems. “In 2004, AT&T was effective at creating solutions based on Cisco’s technologies to meet the stringent feature and security needs of this special group of clients.  I would like to congratulate AT&T on an award-winning year.”
