Maritz Chooses AT&T To Power Client Web Sites
ST. LOUIS -- Maritz Inc., a global leader in performance improvement, travel and marketing research, has chosen AT&T to provide a networking solution that powers hundreds of Web sites for the Fortune 500 client Web sites it hosts. The three-year, $1.2 million contract will provide redundancy and security for clients whose programs are accessed via Maritz-hosted sites.
As an early adopter of technologies that improve customer service, Maritz needed reliable Internet service with superior technical support and network performance. The AT&T solution provides last-mile connectivity with a wireless radio link as part of the company's local loop that gives Maritz managed Internet access, end-to-end connectivity and flexibility.
"We have a high availability environment," said Maritz CIO Gil Hoffman. "Our customers expect us to have a rock solid network. No one else offered a wireless high speed Internet bandwidth solution like AT&T's that allows all the benefits of wired connectivity, including speed of installation and the ability to add incremental bandwidth almost on demand at price points."
"Technology has become so ubiquitous that our customers expect 100 percent access 100 percent of the time," said Gerry Imhoff, Maritz vice president of global technology. "Speed to market and project turn around time are more critical than ever. Our ability to roll out and support global programs significantly improved as a result of infrastructure investments and the deployment of a common global infrastructure."
The AT&T solution is based on frame relay and Business Internet Access services. It is provided through an AT&T OneNet® Service agreement, which simplifies managing complex telecommunications services by combining voice, data and Internet services under a single contract. Additionally, through the secure AT&T BusinessDirect® portal, Maritz gains online access to real-time reports on network performance and direct connection to electronic billing and trouble management systems.
