AT&T in Leader Quadrant in Latest Pan-European Network Service Provider Magic Quadrant
Bedminster, NJ -- AT&T has been listed in the Leader Quadrant in Gartner's first half 2004 update of the Pan-European Network Service Provider Magic Quadrant.[1].
AT&T remains the only Network Service Provider (NSP) to be listed in the Leader Quadrant in all four of Gartner's NSP Magic Quadrants covering Europe, Asia Pacific, U.S. and Worldwide NSPs. Gartner's April 2004 Management Update report, "AT&T Leads the Global NSP Marketplace" [2] outlines Gartner's assessment in each of the four NSP Magic Quadrants
"Gartner's Magic Quadrants are used by many enterprise customers in their assessment of service provider options. We are particularly pleased to have been identified as the only service provider to be in the leader quadrant in each of the four Gartner Magic Quadrant reports. We believe that this confirms our position as a networking leader committed to delivering high-value, integrated services, solutions and applications for business customers, " said AT&T head of international, Justin Sims.
AT&T remains committed to the delivery of seamless global services to meet the needs of multinational companies across the globe. AT&T's services are backed by common tools, processes and infrastructure and the MPLS-based AT&T Global Network continues to expand through ongoing investment based on AT&T's commitment to meet the needs of its global customers.
The Gartner Pan-European NSP report specifically evaluates operators who offer managed network services in at least six European countries with a focus on cross-border networks for enterprise customers. According to Gartner, "Leaders offer a wide-range of high-quality services at a fair price to enterprises of all sizes and types with deep and broad geographic coverage." In addition to highlighting that an NSP's corporate viability should be strong, Gartner also indicated that "Leaders almost always appear on client shortlists and must have a solid market share," in a description of evaluation criteria for NSP Magic Quadrants published in December of 2003.
