AT&T Wins Prestigious Codie Award For Best E-Business Solution
BRIDGEWATER, NJ -- AT&T was recognized by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) on April 15, 2002, by being awarded its highly esteemed Codie award for the Best E-Business Solution.
The Codie, which takes its name from software "code," was established by the SIIA 17 years ago to recognize outstanding digital-economy products and services, including software, digital content and online services. AT&T’s Electronic Maintenance Application was recognized for offering the best E-Business Solution.
AT&T’s Electronic Maintenance Application is just one of many tools available to business customers through AT&T’s Interactive Advantage platform, which was developed by AT&T Labs. The platform enables customers to place orders, review bills, monitor network performance in real time, track and report problems, test circuits, remotely diagnose the source of service problems and more. These features are among the service highlights that earned AT&T the E-Business Solution award from the SIIA.
"The Software and Information Industry Association has acknowledged what we’ve known for long time -- AT&T’s Electronic Maintenance Application is the best customer service offer anywhere," said Bob Sloan, vice president of AT&T Business Services’ Electronic Sales and Service. "Our Electronic Maintenance Application makes it easier than ever for customers to do business with AT&T."
Ken Wasch, president of Software & Information Industry Association, noted that the Codie Award is the only peer-reviewed awards program of its kind in the field, which makes it a very high honor. "SIIA congratulates AT&T Business Services on their 2002 Codie Awards win. Winning this award establishes that AT&T is a leader in the E-Business market," Wasch said.
More than 325 companies submitted over 700 nominations for the 2002 Codie Awards. The nominations represented a broad cross-section of the industry and its members.
