2011 Q2 — Nashville, TN (Special Operations)

NDR's Special Operations (hazardous material) Team held a training exercise in Nashville, TN, from May 16-19, 2011. The team set up a full decontamination line and made building entries wearing SCBAs (self-contained breathing apparatus) and wearing Level A or Level B protective equipment. The team practiced performing monitoring and maintenance tasks inside the building and rapid response/rescue techniques outdoors. The team also received classroom and hands-on training on a variety of topics including inspection of the SCBAs and masks, decontamination procedures, and suit donning/doffing.
