NDR's full fourth quarter 2005 disaster recovery exercise was scaled back to a customer demonstration because of the team's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in September 2005 and because of equipment staging for a possible Hurricane Rita deployment. The team hosted employee tours in Atlanta, GA on September 26 and customer tours on September 27, 2005.

The site included NDR command and technology trailers, and ITSG (Infrastructure Technical Services Group) support trailers. Atlanta's Mayor Shirley Franklin was given a private tour of the site, including presentations by NDR and ITSG team members.
