Positioning recovery trailers at Ashburn, VA
The recovery equipment was moved from a secure staging location
to the exercise site on April 12, 2002. The trailers are positioned
following a site plan that assures that all of the equipment can be
interconnected safely and efficiently.

The recovery trailers have self-contained or dedicated
power generators so they do not have to rely upon
commercial power during a recovery.

interconnected with fiber or T3 cables, as they
would be in a permanent central office.

recovery location. The plan is generated automatically by software
developed by NDR.

run at the site, team members "dress" the cables. The
cables are tied together in bundles for their protection and to make
the site safe for the team.
