AT&T Holds New World Record for Customer Satisfaction
San Antonio, Texas, December 12, 2006
London - AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) has set a new world record in customer satisfaction, according to a report published today by Telemark. Beating off fierce competition from global rivals, such as Deutsche Telekom, Verizon, Orange Business Services, Telefónica and last year's victor, BT, AT&T has successfully raised the bar to become the global data VPN provider deemed most indispensable to customers.
The report, "DataVPN, Raising the Bar" measures customer satisfaction with data VPN services supplied by global operators. The world record is defined as the best-ever annual satisfaction score achieved by a global provider in Telemark's survey of business enterprises. It aims to highlight which suppliers are raising the bar to new levels on a world level.
"AT&T has this year exceeded its personal best in an incredible 17 categories and is, therefore, a highly deserving recipient of this accolade," explained Janet Watkin, managing director of Telemark. The bar has been raised, and other providers now have a tough lead to follow."
"We've worked exceedingly hard over the past year to ensure that our customer satisfaction levels are high across the board and throughout all global regions," commented John Slamecka, head of AT&T EMEA. "We know already that our customers appreciate this, but it's wonderful that this has been officially recognised in this way."
