Intrusion Detection/Prevention

AT&T Managed Intrusion Detection Service protects your networking infrastructure by detecting and responding to unauthorized attempts to access your network. The hardware/software application is installed on your premises and connected to the AT&T Security Operations Center, where AT&T Service Technicians provide round-the-clock surveillance.

The service monitors network traffic for potential misuse from internal and external sources, by capturing IP packets and performing real-time "signature" analysis, comparing the packets to a continually updated database of over 1,000 existing attack signatures. When a pattern of misuse is detected, the system quickly and automatically responds according to your predefined policies, sending an alert and taking immediate action.

AT&T, the recognized leader in network security, provides maintenance procedures, installation and day-to-day management. In addition, the full-managed service includes maintenance of hardware and software components and installation of required upgrades.

Token Authentication

For healthcare systems housing sensitive information, AT&T's Token Authentication service performs end-to-end management of two-factor authentication using the RSA SecurID token for enterprise networks, applications, and operating systems.

AT&T's "two-factor authentication" approach requires a user to provide two unique factors to gain access to your private network: something they know (a password or PIN), and something they possess (an authenticator), thus providing a much more reliable level of user authentication than static passwords. This two-factor authentication makes it far more difficult for a hacker to gain access to authentication credentials, because the authenticator's token code changes randomly every 60 seconds and must be combined with a secret PIN known only by the user accessing the network.

The Token Authentication Service is supported by AT&T's state-of-the-art Internet Data Centers, which are monitored via AT&T's Global Network Operations Center. The service is available via subscription or as a customized, dedicated solution.
