Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) provide satellite-based full-duplex circuit-switched voice, data, and facsimile communications, capable of supporting land, maritime and aeronautical mobile communications.  The service provides an end-to-end connection to other MSS terminals, public voice and data networks as well as cellular users via gateway earth stations.
 
MSS is an optional service in the Universal contract.
