For more than 100 years, AT&T has set the industry standard for network reliability and network security. Our Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) in New Jersey plays a vital role in ensuring that those standards of excellence are maintained across all segments of our global network. The AT&T GNOC is the largest and most sophisticated command-and-control center of its kind in the world.
The GNOC staff monitors and proactively manages the data and voice traffic flowing across AT&T’s domestic and global networks twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. From their workstations on the GNOC floor, they can quickly survey a sweeping wall of 141 giant screens showing different aspects of network activity, network topography and news events. At their consoles, each team member monitors a different segment or technology in the network using the most advanced diagnostic and management tools available.
The GNOC team’s goal is to ensure that the AT&T network performs flawlessly. On an average business day, our network carries over 33 petabytes of data.
