When installing an AT&T neutral host Distributed Antenna System (DAS) with the right modifications, multiple wireless service providers will be able to utilize the shared infrastructure to improve service.

A DAS consists of many strategically-placed antennas that distribute AT&T's wireless network coverage on campus, providing for more efficient management of wireless capacity in heavily-trafficked areas.  The additional capacity helps improve call reliability, increase download speeds and enable more consistent network access – enabling your students, faculty and staff to make the most of their AT&T devices.

AT&T will design the system based upon the unique requirements of the campus to provide increased coverage and capacity to meet your wireless voice and data needs.

For a qualified campus, AT&T will:

• Fund all of the CAPEX and OPEX of the Neutral Host DAS, at no cost to you

• Monitor, manage and repair the system on a 24 x 7 basis

• Explore opportunities to upgrade the system in order to take advantage of the latest technology, such as Long Term Evolution (LTE)

• Design the system to ensure capacity and coverage throughout the entire campus

• Fund the installation, commissioning and optimization

• Obtain all necessary permits, secure backhaul, power and base station equipment

• Actively market the system to other wireless providers

• Ensure system exceeds your expectations by installing reliable, tested equipment by trained, qualified personnel and participate in the initial system design, site walk-through and final technical acceptance
