AT&T Holds New World Record for Customer Satisfaction
AT&T has set a new world record in customer satisfaction, according to a report published today by Telemark. Beating off fierce competition from global rivals, such as Deutsche Telekom, Verizon, Orange Business Services, Telefónica and last year's victor, BT, AT&T has successfully raised the bar to become the global data VPN provider deemed most indispensable to customers. In a study of 1,205 U.S. telecommunications decision makers, In-Stat rated AT&T No. 1 overall in three separate carrier "scorecards" that rate top telecom players relative to business customers’ stated priorities. (November 2006)

AT&T Named "Best National U.S. Wholesale Provider" in Capacity Magazine's Second Annual Global Wholesale Awards
AT&T received the "Best National U.S. Wholesale Provider" award from Capacity magazine, as part of the publication's second annual Global Wholesale Awards. "AT&T won the "Best National U.S. Wholesale Provider" award based on the reach of the AT&T network, quality and performance of the network, as well as the company's successful integration post-AT&T and SBC merger," said Mark Kemp, CEO and editor in chief of Capacity. AT&T received the Heavy Reading 2006 Ethernet Service Provider of the Year - Product Portfolio Award.
The award recognized AT&T as the service provider that offers the strongest Ethernet services connectivity and applications portfolio. In selecting AT&T Ethernet Services for the award, Heavy Reading examined service providers' bandwidth options, performance and breadth of markets serviced, as well as their demonstrated ability to smoothly migrate customers onto Ethernet from legacy services. In a review of several carriers, AT&T BusinessDirect was the only portal to receive superior ratings in all categories evaluated. (April 2006)
The AT&T eBill site was recognized by MarketingSherpa for its creative campaign
MarketingSherpa recognized AT&T's eBill site and awarded it a place on the 2006 Virtual Hall of Fame for encouraging paperless billing and allowing site visitors to "plant" a tree in a growing online forest in celebration of their eBill activation. Site visitors were also able to send e-mail messages to their friends and family members, encouraging them to do the same. More information about the campaign. (April 2006)

The National Arbor Day Foundation Awards AT&T for Campaign That Encourages Customers to Go Paperless
The National Arbor Day Foundation honored AT&T Inc. with the Foundation's 2006 "Promise to the Earth" Award in recognition of an ongoing AT&T campaign that encourages residential and small-business customers to receive electronic statements through its AT&T eBill service and opt out of receiving paper bills. TMC has selected AT&T as the recipient of its 2005 VoIP Product of the Year Award for AT&T Voice Dynamic Network Applicationssm (DNA) Service. This most recent award is the fourth such recognition bestowed on AT&T VoIP services for market leadership in 2005. (January 2006)
AT&T's Ed Whitacre Honored with CEO of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan
Frost & Sullivan has bestowed the CEO of the Year Award upon Ed Whitacre as he has distinguished himself from his competitors by pursuing a unique restructuring that has resulted in propelling the company's market position. Perhaps the most significant single event driven by his leadership occurred last year, when SBC acquired AT&T. The acquisition, and Mr. Whitacre's subsequent decision to retain the AT&T brand, will have effects on the market for years to come. (January 2006)
