AT&T Wins Telecom Asia "Best Global Carrier" Award For Fourth Straight Year
AT&T received the Telecom Asia Readers' Choice Award for the "Best Global Carrier" for an unprecedented fourth year in succession. The award winners were voted for by readers of Telecom Asia's three magazines -- Wireless Asia, Telecom Asia and Telecom China -- that are distributed in 12 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. Those invited to vote included executives and professionals from Asian telecom companies, equipment vendors and major business users. The criteria for "Best Global Carrier" were based on peer reviews, as well as an outstanding contribution to the industry. (June 2002)
AT&T Receives Award for Diversity and Environmental Leadership
The Environmental Careers Organization (ECO) presented AT&T with the Corporate 2002 Excellence in Diversity and Environmental Stewardship Award at its National Roundtable on Diversity in the Environment awards reception in Arlington,Va. ECO recognized AT&T for its accomplishments and dedication in the areas of environmental stewardship and organizational commitment to diversity. (May 2002)
AT&T Wins Prestigious Codie Award for Best E-Business Solution
AT&T was recognized by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) on April 15, 2002, by being awarded its highly esteemed Codie award for the Best E-Business Solution. The Codie, which takes its name from software "code," was established by the SIIA 17 years ago to recognize outstanding digital-economy products and services, including software, digital content and online services. AT&T’s Electronic Maintenance Application was recognized for offering the best E-Business Solution.
