AT&T Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Magic Quadrant for U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers
AT&T announced its position in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner's "Magic Quadrant for U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers"  2009 Report. Gartner assessed the capabilities of U.S. Telecommunications Service Providers that offer wired, wireless or both services to the business market based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. Gartner recognized the providers' products and services, overall viability, sales execution, pricing, marketing execution, customer experience and operations; as well as market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, product strategy and innovation. AT&T Ranks No. 2 on the Latina Style 50 Report Recognizing the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for in the U.S.
AT&T has once again been selected as one of the Top Twelve Companies of the Year by LATINA Style Magazine; ranking No. 2 among the overall list of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work For in the U.S. The annual LATINA Style 50 Report recognizes companies for best meeting the workplace needs and goals of professional Hispanic women. This is the third time that AT&T has ranked among the top twelve best companies for Latinas. (August 2009)

Advertising Industry Honors AT&T's African-American Agency of Record for Its Innovative Multicultural Marketing and Advertising Campaigns
Sanders/Wingo - the African-American agency of record for AT&T Operations, Inc - has been recognized by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) for its demonstrated innovative efforts in multicultural marketing and advertising. This year, Sanders/Wingo was honored in the Multiethnic Advertising Campaign category for its AT&T campaign Not Just. This campaign represents the diversity of the local communities AT&T serves and it authentically portrays diverse individuals in positive roles. (August 2009)

AT&T Wins Two Carrier Excellence Awards in Atlantic-ACM 2009 Business Connectivity and Wireless Report Card
AT&T was named the winner of two Carrier Excellence Awards in the categories of Brand (ILEC/IXC) and Small and Medium Business (SMB) Voice Value at the 2009 ATLANTIC-ACM Summer Spree.The awards are based on the results of the annual Business Connectivity and Wireless Report Card, which rates the performance of business connectivity providers based on more than 3,000 individual carrier evaluations from the carriers’ small, medium and large/enterprise business customers. Gartner, Inc. has positioned AT&T in the Leaders Quadrant of its 2009 ""Magic Quadrant for Web Conferencing" report. Gartner evaluated AT&T Connect® and positioned AT&T in the Leaders Quadrant in its annual review of Web conferencing and collaboration services for businesses. AT&T Connect unifies audio conferencing, Web conferencing and video conferencing within a single, company-wide conferencing and collaboration tool. AT&T Wins Frost & Sullivan 2009 North American Market Leadership Award in MPLS/IP VPN Services
AT&T was awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2009 North American Market Leadership Award in Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) based Internet Protocol (IP) Virtual Private Network (VPN) services. The award recognizes AT&T for its ability to capture the largest market share in the MPLS/IP VPN services market and its strategic investment in Layer 3 VPN services, which enable customers to handle the convergence of next-generation voice, data and video applications. AT&T was awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2009 Market Leadership Award in Retail Carrier Ethernet Services. The award recognizes AT&T for its comprehensive suite of carrier Ethernet services, encompassing access, E-Line and E-LAN. (July 2009)

AT&T Positioned by Analyst Firm as a Leader in Web Hosting and Cloud Infrastructure Services
AT&T was positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner's 2009 Magic Quadrant for Web Hosting and Cloud Infrastructure Services (On Demand) Report,by L. Leong, T. Chamberlin, 7/2/09. AT&T Becomes First Wireless Carrier to Receive Accreditation from Every Better Business Bureau in the U.S.
AT&T 's mobility unit has earned accreditation with each of the 111 Better Business Bureaus (BBB) across the United States. AT&T is the only wireless carrier to earn the distinction and is one of just a handful of companies, overall, to achieve accreditation with every BBB. BBB-accredited businesses adhere to the BBB’s “Standards for Trust,” a comprehensive set of policies, procedures and best practices on how businesses treat consumers. The standards call for building trust, embodying integrity, advertising honestly and telling the truth, being transparent, honoring promises, being responsive and safeguarding privacy. (June 2009)

AT&T Wins American Business Award for Information Technology Department of the Year
"AT&T's Information Technology Organization was named “Information Technology Department of the Year” at the 2009 American Business Awards ceremony. AT&T’s IT organization, one of the largest in the world, was recognized for its work in creating technology solutions that transform business processes and market offerings in ways that create value and have a positive impact for AT&T’s business, customers, and partners. The Stevie Awards organizes several of the world’s leading business recognition shows, including the prestigious American Business Awards. Nicknamed the Stevies, for the Greek word “crowned,” this year’s awards attracted more than 500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry. The competition featured 27 categories for customer service and 41 categories for sales professionals. (June 2009)

AT&T Honored as a 2009 Best Diversity Company by the Readers of Diversity/Careers Magazine
"AT&T has been recognized by the readers of Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology as a 2009 Best Diversity Company. In this annual Best Diversity Practices survey, one hundred companies, government agencies, and other organizations employing technical professionals were honored from a field of hundreds of corporations and agencies. This is the third straight year AT&T has been included on this list; it has been included in the overall list every year since its inception three years ago. This marks the third year of Celestica’s TCOO Supplier Awards program. Celestica’s TCOO system is focused on evaluating supplier performance by measuring the total cost to produce, deliver and support products and services beyond the supplier invoice price. AT&T Honored for Excellence in IT Innovation for Third Consecutive Year" "AT&T has been named a recipient of the 2009 CIO 100 award, presented by IDG’s CIO magazine. The 22nd annual CIO 100 program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.The recipients of this year’s CIO 100 award were selected through a three-step process, including an online application, in-depth application review by a team of judges, and CIO editor review of and vote on the judges’ recommendations. "Compass Intelligence, a leading high-tech and telecommunications market research firm, has recognized AT&T as one of the leaders in online customer experience for small and midsize business customers.Based on both vendor and primary research, the study highlights the AT&T Onward Small Biz Web site (www.att.com/OnwardSmallBiz) as standing out from the competition to be the top resource among telecommunications providers and No. 2 overall for small businesses online. Last year, AT&T also ranked tops among telecom companies and was No. 3 overall. (May 2009)

Frost & Sullivan Names AT&T Navigator the Consumer Navigation Application of the Year
"Global growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan, has named AT&T Navigator, powered by TeleNav, as the 2009 “Consumer Navigation Application of the Year.” Frost & Sullivan chose AT&T Navigator due to its wide array of features including integrated speech recognition, 3D moving maps, traffic alerts with one-touch rerouting, estimated time of arrival calculation, pedestrian mode, location-based city/state auto-suggest and an accompanying pre-planning website.The Frost & Sullivan Award for Product of the Year is presented annually to the wireless company that has demonstrated excellence in product development and launch. The recipient’s product/technology effort is expected to have significant and positive impact on the expansion of mobile and wireless communications capabilities. Measurement criteria include significance of the new product in its industry, competitive advantage of the new product, product innovation, product acceptance in the marketplace, value-added services provided to customers, and number of competitors with similar products. AT&T Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Managed Security Services
Leading industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. has positioned AT&T in the leaders quadrant of its "Magic Quadrant for MSSPs, North America" report. The Magic Quadrant measures vendors on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision and was developed as a guide for enterprises evaluating Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). According to the Gartner report, the service providers in the Leaders quadrant have significant mind share among enterprises looking to buy a MSS from pure-play security services vendors, and they generally receive positive reports on service and performance from Gartner clients. AT&T Named to "Global Green 100" List
The Uptime Institute has selected AT&T for its Global Green 100 list. The list recognizes companies that have made significant energy efficiency achievements in their enterprise IT and data center operations. AT&T joins other FORTUNE 500 and InformationWeek 500 organizations that have demonstrated a board-level commitment to making their data centers and IT operations more sustainable. (April 2009)

AT&T Wins Billing & OSS World Excellence Award for Customer Care
AT&T BusinessDirect® customer Web portal has been recognized with the Billing & OSS World 2009 Excellence Awards for Best Customer Care Solution. The annual awards recognize the leaders - vendors, service providers and integrators - in the development and deployment of billing and operations support systems (OSS) technologies and solutions. An independent panel of experts from the billing and OSS community cited AT&T BusinessDirect for its ability to provide users with a competitive advantage, innovation, economic benefits, compatibility with products from other vendors, ease of use, ease of implementation and other factors. The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations, has named AT&T as one of America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises.AT&T's outstanding diversified supply chain has not gone unnoticed over the last 40 years - this is the 10th consecutive year that AT&T has received this honor from WBENC. AT&T has been included among the top corporations since the list's inception for its efforts in breaking down barriers that impede women-owned businesses from gaining fair access to procurement opportunities. AT&T Earns No. 2 Spot on DiversityInc's List of Top 50 Companies for Diversity
AT&T has once again been recognized for its longstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion across its global operations - most recently by DiversityInc, which named AT&T among its Top 50 Companies for Diversity in 2009. AT&T moved up 20 spaces in the 2009 rankings over last year - from 22nd to 2nd. AT&T is also included on three of DiversityInc's Top 10 specialty lists, ranking No. 7 among the Top 10 Companies for Recruitment & Retention; No. 1 among the Top 10 Companies for African Americans; and No. 8 among the Top 10 Companies for LGBT Employees. This is the ninth year that DiversityInc has administered the Top 50 Companies survey - more than 400 companies vied for the honor this year, an increase of 14 percent over 2008. Last year, AT&T was included among The DiversityInc Top 10 Companies for Supplier Diversity because of its long history as a national supplier-diversity leader, which includes consistently expanding contracting opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses. AT&T Wins Three ATLANTIC-ACM 2009 U.S. Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards
The AT&T Wholesale organization received three 2009 U.S. Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research consultancy and benchmarking firm. The awards are based on the results of the 13th edition of ATLANTIC-ACM's U.S. Wholesale Carrier Report Card, which evaluates the performance of wholesale carriers in key delivery areas based on hundreds of ratings by their wholesale customers. AT&T won awards in the categories for Brand, Network Performance and Voice Product Quality. (March 2009)

AT&T Named Most Admired Telecommunications Company
Fortune magazine has named AT&T the Most Admired Company in the telecommunications industry, marking 11 times in 14 years AT&T has received the top distinction. Fortune also named AT&T among the Top 50 Most Admired companies in the world - across all industries - for the second time. AT&T joins an elite group of other corporate leaders ranked No. 1 in their industries, including Procter & Gamble, Visa, Wal-Mart Stores and FedEx. (February 2009)

Three AT&T Innovators Honored by ACM as Distinguished Members in Recognition for Contributions in Computing Technology
David G. Belanger, Yih-Farn (Robin) Chen, and Robert J. Hall have been named Distinguished Members by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in recognition for their individual contributions to innovation in computing and information technology. ACM annually recognizes a select group of computer scientists and engineers from some of the world's leading corporations, research labs, and universities, honoring those who have dramatically influenced progress in science, engineering, business and many other areas of human endeavor. AT&T Wins Stevie Award for Technology in 2009 Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service
The AT&T BusinessDirect® portfolio received a Stevie® Award in the category of ""Best Use of Technology in Customer Service". AT&T BusinessDirect was recognized for its customer features and ability to integrate with mobile applications. AT&T's eSales and Services organization also was recognized as a Stevie Awards finalist in the category of "Online Sales Team of the Year." In presenting the award to AT&T, the Stevie Awards committee acknowledged the ability of AT&T BusinessDirect users to access its eMaintenance application over practically any wireless Internet-enabled device to launch and remotely monitor the network maintenance process from beginning to end. The committee also cited the AT&T BusinessDirect Mobile service that allows customers to receive key reports and text message alerts via wireless devices. (February 2009)

Leading industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. has positioned AT&T Business Solutions in the Leaders Quadrant in their latest report for global network service providers. The Gartner Magic Quadrant report offers a visual snapshot of a market's direction, maturity and participants. In the report, Gartner evaluates vendors of global network service providers on the basis of completeness of vision and ability to execute. (January 2009)

AT&T Business Solutions Wins Four ATLANTIC-ACM Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards
AT&T Wholesale organization received four 2009 Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research consultancy and benchmarking firm. The awards are based on hundreds of wholesale customer evaluations of global carriers for the 2009 edition of ATLANTIC-ACM's Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card - the global wholesale industry's principal benchmarking study. AT&T CruiseCast is Finalist in CNET "Best Of CES" Awards for 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show
AT&T CruiseCastSM, the future of total in-car entertainment, was selected by the editors at CNET (www.cnet.com ) as one of only three finalists in this year's "Best of CES" awards for the Car Tech category. The "Best of CES" Awards, judged by CNET editors who received and reviewed hundreds of entries, recognize the hottest products at the 2009 International CES in ten categories. The ten categories include car tech; cell phones and smartphones; computers and hardware; digital photo and video; gaming; GPS; home audio; home video; MP3 and portable video players; and televisions.
