KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, September 9, 2013 – ‘Team Pillow’ comprising Jia Chiun (left) and Jit Ren (right), winner of this weekend’s inaugural Malaysia Developers’ Day competition, celebrated winning a US$10,000 prize for developing an app they dubbed “Perks” which uses location-based technology to let users know about special offers and promotions within close proximity. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is a statutory body established under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Act 1998 (MCMCA) which implements and promotes the Government's national policy objectives for the communications and multimedia sector.
